Sort by seasons and discover their characteristics. Be sure to look closely at the theme boards. Which seasons do you recognize? Explain your observations.
Now take the picture cards, name them and place them with the correct season. For each one, explain why that specific card belongs to that season. Note that the picture cards differ in difficulty. In fact, many of the images on the thematic card are identical. For example, think of flowers in spring and flip-flops in summer. Other images also correspond to a certain season, but are more challenging. Examples are seedlings in spring and an ice-cream truck in summer.
Together, discuss why a card corresponds to a specific season.
