How long will your story last? Place the dominoes in an order of your own choosing and talk about it. Stimulates vocabulary and storytelling. Children practice basic words and put them in the right context. They learn to build a story and articulate it correctly.
The dominoes represent different subjects and can be sorted by topic. Sort them by people, personal hygiene, food and drink, animals and activities. Because of the different topics, children are challenged to tell as many stories as possible. Additional hygiene measures due to Covid19 are taken into account. Children know that adults should wear a mouth mask and that people should cough and sneeze into their elbows. Hand washing and disinfectant gel are also illustrated.
Story dominoes can be used for language skills, fine motor skills and mathematics. The main objective is language mastery, because of the many ways in which a story can be told. Fine motor skills are exercised when the wooden dominoes are accurately placed vertically. Mathematical skills are part of the game through the sorting exercise.
